BPI - Plant Product Safety Services Division conducts Inspectors' Training on PhilGAP Certification on July 17-21, 2017 at Cherry Blossoms Hotel in Prince Ermita , Manila.
The primary objective of the activity is for the participants to have an in-depth understanding of the four modules of GAP - food safety, produce quality, environmental management and workers health, safety and welfare. The training will also focus on the inspectors' proper communication during inspection. The proposed PhilGAP assessment form and guidelines on market monitoring of fresh produce will also be presented.
Participants are also expected to be familiar with the various provisions of RA 10611 and understanding on ASEAN GAP and Global GAP.
